The National Union of Railwaymen Head Office Unity House, Euston Road, London, N.W.1. BRANCH. Forest Gate Corres Secretary— Full postal address 60 ST James Rd E15. My ref:- Your ref: 15-7-41 Sir Walter Citrine Gen Secty T.U.C. Dear Sir & Bro. I am instructed to forward you the resolution that we, members of the Forest Gate Branch, express our utmost solidarity with the workers of the U.S.S.R. fighting in defence of the Socialist fatherland. We demand the removal of all pro-fascist and anti- soviet elements from power in the government, diplomatic services and military commands. We also demand that the sternest measures be taken to put an end to the rotten corruption, chaos, inefficiency and profiteering in industry and in transport and to the 'cost-plus' system. The ban on the Daily Worker, which exposed this state of affairs and attacked vested interests and the old school tie, must be lifted immediately. If these measures are taken and the resources of this country are pooled with those of the U.S.S.R. our two peoples will be victorious over fascism. We also request that our E.C. immediately take steps to initiate an exchange of delegations between the railways unions of Britain and the U.S.S.R. Yours faithfully Mary Bower Corres Secty
