Sir, With reference to the cases of Spanish Seamen for whom the T.U.C. has accepted responsibility, and particularly to those comprised in the list kindly furnished to this Department on the 21st December under your reference HVT/AC/66, I am to say that as regards such of these men as were last granted permission to land in this country before the 3rd September, 1939, there is no objection to their remaining until further notice, and their passports or Certificates of Registration with the Police need not again be sent to this Department unless asked for.
