Las noticias que tengo de España son terribles. Las represión son muy violentas y el estado de miseria del pueblo et algo desconsolador. Como mi salud esta muy quebrantada y no vivo puisando con mi senora y con mis hijas es por lo que amigo Citrine acuolo a Vd. con el maximo fervor para conseguir tener a mi lado a mi familia. Dear Friend, Pardon me for bothering you to ask whether you have any information about my wife and my daughters. The information I am receiving about Spain is dreadful. There is very violent repression, and the state of misery of the people is somewhat distressing. As my health has brokeh down, and I cannot live for thinking of my wife and my daughters, I beg you, friend Citrine, from the bottom of my heart to continue to stand by my side and my family's.
