Sir Walter Citrine, Transport House, Smith Square, S.W.1 Sir, SPANISH RELIEF FUND.- I am very disappointed not have any reply to my letter to you, dated May 21st, on the above subject, not even an acknowledgement. I hope my letter has not gone astray, but it is hardly likely that any communication addressed to such a well-known person as yourself would remain undelivered. The food ship mentioned in my previous letter is now expected at London between June 6th & 9th next, so that there is not now much time left if anything effective is to be done by the Newport Committee, the local secretary of which, Councillor F. W. Morrice, was also expecting by this time to have heard from you, arising out of my above-mentioned letter. Awaiting the pleasure of your reply, I remain, Sir, yours faithfully Cecil J.
