Description
Summary:029-0130-001 VICECONSULADO DE ESPANA. TEL 2222 Newport. Mon. My ref. No. 39. June 11th, 1937. Your ref. HVT/EK/979. Secretary's Dept. The Trades Union Congress General Council, S.W.1. Dear Sirs, - SPANISH RELIEF FUND. - Referring to your letter of May 28th, I should be interested to know whether you were able to make contact with the representative of the Spanish Women's Committee. The local Spanish Relief Fund Committee, whose secretary is as you know, Councillor F.W. Morrice, has not had word from you arising out of my letter of May 21st, and what I am anxious about is that advantage should be taken of the opportunity to send any available foodstuffs from this district by the steamer expected at London on or about the 15th instant, the London agents for which are:- J. A. Billmeir & Co., Holland House, Bury Street, E. C. 3., I should be very glad to hear from you hereon. Yours faithfully, El Vicecónsul De España Cecil J. Beer Vice consul for Spain at Newport VICE CONSULADO DE ESPANA EN NEWPORT 292/946/29/130
