WMC/FC/EK/363. Secretary's. 23rd December, 1937. Mr. W. Schevenels, The International Federation of Trade Unions, 9, Avenue D'Orsay, Paris VIIe, FRANCE. Dear Mr. Schevenels, Further to my letter on the above subject we have learnt that the s.s. Hartbridge is likely to sail tomorrow with the consignment referred to in my communication of the 14th instant. The consignment of sugar will be sent by the next boat. For your information I may say that the s.s. Hartbridge will not sail direct to Barcelona. It will take the goods to North Africa from whence they will be transhipped in a British boat. We are very disappointed that the difficulties have taken so long to settle as we were very desirous that the consignment should arrive before Christmas. With Christmas greetings, Yours sincerely, General Secretary.
