Description
Summary:029-0057-001 HVT/FC/133. Secretary's. 5th January, 1938 Mr. W. Schevenels, The International Federation of Trade Unions, 9, Avenue D'orsay, PARIS, VIIe. Dear Schevenels, FOODSTUFFS FOR SPAIN. We have now learnt that it may be possible to ship one-third of the sugar (80 tons) from Hull in the near future. There is another ship leaving Liverpool for Barcelona soon and there is just room for about one ton of biscuits. I am merely mentioning, this to show the difficulties which exist in regard to shipping to Barcelona and to inform you that our consignment may have to go in many cargoes. I will, of course, inform you officially of any goods being sent and the name of the vessel in which they are being shipped. Yours sincerely, assistant Secretary. 292/946/29/57
