(c) Milk for Spain: Mr. Gillies reported that he had received correspondence that morning from the Co-operative Union, indicating further activity throughout the Co-operative Movement in aid of the Milk for Spain Fund, the need for which was continuous. (d) Trade Union Funds: Reference was made to the decisions of the Mineworkers' Federation of Great Britain and the Amalgamated Engineering Union to initiate special funds throughout their memberships in aid of Spain. RESOLVED: "That letters be addressed on behalf of the National Council of Labour to Unions concerned suggesting that in the disbursement of their funds consideration should be given to the established machinery of the International Solidarity Fund, and that it should be pointed out in each case that contributions made through the International Solidarity Fund could be ear-marked for any special purpose that may be desired." 292/946/30/154
