Description
Summary:030-0147-001 Secretary's WMC/FEM/MT/993 24th June, 1938. Mr. H.H. Elvin, National Union of Clerks and Administrative Workers, 70, St. Georges Square, LONDON, S.W.1. Dear Mr. Elvin, ASTURIAN MINERS' ORPHANS, ETC. I have received a letter from Mr. Ebby Edwards of the Mineworkers' Federation, saying they have appointed a sub-committee to deal with the allocation of money collected for the Asturian Miners' orphans, etc., and the Committee ask that representatives of the General Council should meet them on the question of rendering some advice. I have replied to Mr. Edwards saying that we would be very pleased to do this and have suggested the following two dates - Monday, 4th July, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, 5th July at 11 a.m. I would be very glad if you would book those dates so that we can go along together. Yours sincerely, General Secretary 292/946/30/147
