My desire is to maintain correspondence with you and to discuss the social question, exchange books, reviews, periodicals, etc., and similarly to entreat you for your solidarity, since there is a great shortage here of some little things (tobacco, soap, chocolate, etc.) and by a small sacrifice on your part you would contribute towards making life more agreeable for me.
