GOODMAN Food For The Spanish People Dear Sir or Madam, The above Committee has been formed with the object of answering the appeal of the Spanish people for food. The world now knows that starvation threatens Madrid. The proposal to collect and despatch food to the people of Madrid is receiving warm support from all sections of humanitarian and progressive people who are anxious to give practical aid to the democratic people of beleaguered Spain. The Committee has gratefully accepted the Earl of Kinnoull's offer to place his ship at the Committee's disposal for the purpose of conveying the food to Spain and to command the ship in person. We feel sure that you will help the Committee to reach the aim of 100 tons of food and £1,000, which we feel is the least contribution which British democracy can make. We ask you to give, to contribute to this fund for the alleviation of suffering and the defence of a people's life. £300 of this fund will be expended on Babies' Food.
