Sir. Walter Citrine, National Council of Labour, Transport House, Smith Square, London, S.W.1., Mr Tewson 27 MAR 1940 Dear Sir, FINANCIAL AID FOR FINLAND. The Divisional Party gave consideration to your circular on the above and decided to contribute the sum of £5.0.0. I have pleasure in enclosing a cheque for that amount. Your receipt in due course will oblige. SPANISH REFUGEE CHILDREN IN ENGLAND AND FRANCE. Also before the meeting of the Divisional Party was a circular from the Tyneside and District Spanish Ship Committee, which is working in conjunction with "All London Aid Spain Council", asking for support for their fund. The Divisional Party are quite prepared to do this but in view of conflicting accounts of the amount of money which is still to be spent, and which was collected at the time of the conflict in Spain, including the grant of several thousand pounds from the Miners' Federation, I was asked to ascertain whether this appeal comes from bona-fide sources or not. Your advice would be welcome, Yours faithfully, J. T. Anson Secretary. 292/946/32/21
