We have arranged with the Co-operative Wholesale Society Limited to forward to your order at ROUEN a consignment of footwear for distribution among the Spanish refugees in France. This consignment comprises, at the moment, 39 packages containing approximately 1600 pairs of footwear. It may be, however, that further packages will be included in the ultimate consignment, and we have therefore asked the C.W.S. to forward to you a copy of the Bill of Lading in order that you may know exactly the quantity of goods being forwarded. The goods will be despatched from Liverpool on Wednesday or Thursday next (31st May or 1st June), and in all cases are being consigned to the FEDERATION SYNDICALE INTERNATIONALE ROUEN where they will await your instructions. The name of the steamer is s.s. C.W.S. PROGRESS. Yours sincerely, General Secretary.
