Dear Comrade Tewson, Further to our correspondence about goods for Spain, the cost of transport for the seven wagons (which were wrongly described as "7 Wagons Fish", and was sent via Rouen and contained 30 tons Codfish, 60 tons Soap, 3 tons Biscuits and 40 barrels of Cod-Liver Oil), was 5,177 francs, 95 centimes. We shall, of course pay this sum, the account for which I got from Cruzel, and not the C.W.S., and therefore, I would suggest that you inform them that they will not have to meet any further charge. The mistake was partly due to the fact that the C.W.S. sent the goods to a transport firm named Aduana Calvet of Port-Bou, who were not aware that we should pay the cost of transport and it was only when we were informed by Cruzel that the matter was settled. In future I would suggest that all goods should be sent by Cruzel, and also that we should be informed of the contents of every consignment, the name of the sender, the place of despatch and the destination.
