Transport House. Smith Square. London. S.W.1. Dear Sirs/ re appeal for Spanish Workers. Cir No.131.(1933-36) My committee had the matter of your appeal on behalf of Spanish workers before them last night. While they have every sympathy with the object of the appeal and are desirous of doing what they can, the question arose as to whether the object is to be regarded as Political or Industrial. If they decide to make a grant they want to be sure that they will not come up against the Registrar of Friendly Societies.
