LABOUR SPAIN COMMITTEE REPRESENTING DIVISIONAL AND BOROUGH LABOUR PARTIES Treasurer: AUSTIN ALBU 20 East Heath Road N.W.3 Chairman: H.N. BRAILSFORD Secretary: J. POLE 24 Lupton Street London, N.W.5 GULliver 4084 — Supporters — G.D.H. Cole Frank Horrabin John Jagger, M.P. Naomi Mitchison H.W. Nevinson John Parker, M.P. Jack Tanner R.H. Tawney Sir Charles Trevelyan Dorothy Woodman Leonard Woolf 27th November, 1938. Mr. H. V. Tewson, Trades Union Congress, Transport House. S.W.1. Dear Mr. Tewson, Your letter of the 24th inst., addressed to Mr. Albu, was read to my Committee at its meeting on Friday last. The hope was expressed that there would be no undue delay in the shipment of our consignments, and that would let us have as detailed a report as possible, which will, as I am sure you will appreciate, be very valuable from the point of view of publicity. My Committee was also concerned to know whether this, and any other shipments which it might make through your Fund, would figure separately in your reports, and in the light of the conversation which Mr. Brailsford and I had with you and Mr. Gillies at your Offices, I gave that assurance. I should, however, appreciate a letter from you to that affect. Yours sincerely, J. Pole, Secretary.
