Summary:034-0030-001 No reply Amalgamated Engineering Union General Office: 110, Peckham Road, London, S.E.15 BE UNITED & INDUSTRIOUS Branch Secretary's Address A.H. MELTON, 32 DERWENT CRESCENT STANMORE, Middx. EDGWARE 2nd 37 E.E. Branch No. Your Reference BRANCH SEAL April 24th 1942 Dear Sirs & Bro. The meeting of Edgware 2 branch passed a vote of censure, on the whole membership of the Trade Union Council, for their lack of interest in the wellbeing of those International Brigaders still interned in unoccupied France. The members strongly demand that you the T.U.C. take action and place the urgent case before the most Highest authorities, and still persist if results are not forthcoming, because we feel that every effort must be made to bring to safety those fighters who in the past have set an example that you should at least follow Yours Fraternally Albert H. Melton Secretary 292/946/34/30
