S.W.1 Dear Sir, We have received a communication from the International Brigade Association requesting us to communicate with you with reference to members of the International Brigade at present interned in unoccupied France. My Committee request that you give sympathetic consideration to the question of writing the Foreign Secretary requesting him to approach the American Government to intervene with the Vichy Government on the following points:- (1) To stop extradition of former members of the International Brigades to Germany, German-occupied countries and Italy. (2) To grant French exit permits to former International Brigaders. (3) To permit the distribution of relief to International Brigaders in French and Spanish internment camps by accredited relief organisations in France, Spain, Portugal and Switzerland.
