"THORPEHALL," to Spain, for which vessel we acted as Agents, we are enclosing herewith, an account shewing small expenses incurred covering the shipment thereof, and shall be glad if you would let us have your cheque in settlement. With regard to the gratuity to the Captain, as this cargo was valuable, you will appreciate that it was to be taken care of, and we arranged with the Captain to have it stored in his private cabin, locker, etc., We therefore feel, you will agree to this deduction.
