Interalliierte Militärpatrouille und andere Autos stehen auf der Lerchenfelderstraße, auf dem Gehsteig Menschenansammlung Agenturtext: "Staff Foto Vienna 11273 Prevented Kidnapping / Vienna, 18 June 1953 - A sensational prevention of kidnapping took place today at Lerchenfelderstrasse in the American Zone of Vienna. A approximately 1530 p.m. three civilian Russians appeared in the apartement of a Czechoslovakian citizen named Lukas and tried to arrest him. While Likas [sic] started to fight them and wounded one of the Russians with his knife, his girlfriend succeedto call the Austrian Police, who in turn informed the iterallied Patrol of the event. When the interallied Petrol arrived at the scene, the three Pussians were arrested and put into one of the Interallied Patrol cars. At this very moment, the Russian member of the Interallied Patrol jumped into the patrol car and attempted to escape with his fellow countrymen. One of the American MP´s overlooking the situation rapidly ran after the car and succeeded in preventing the escape. He forced the Russian MP to leave the car controlling the scene with his gun, until the prisoners were turned over into Soviet custoy.
