Summary:The subfonds contain both printed and electronic publications that feature news from a wide range of regional and international sources. They focus on analysis and news related to political, social, and economic life, military, foreign policy, media, legal and cultural affairs in the region of East, Central and Southeastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. Issues of the magazine Transition/Transitions complement the digest by providing more in-depth analysis of news and issues concerning the region. The series also includes special reports on critical issues in the region, for example on the Bosnian crisis (Pursuing Balkan Peace) or publications on the Russian elections. Besides the publications created at OMRI the subfonds contain several series with the electronic versions of publications prepared at the RFE/RL Research Institute Publications Department in the period 1992-1994.
