Description
Summary:The DVD includes three new episodes of the famous comic Yugoslav TV- series, set in late communist Yugoslavia and revolving around Borivoje Šurdilović Šurda, an idle provincial who tries to make it in Belgrade. The fourth episode finds Šurda jobless again and still living with his uncle and aunt in their Belgrade shanty. Soon Šurda’s father Soča arrives, announcing that he has found him a rich bride from his local village. Šurda resolutely dismisses the offer, not least because he has fallen in love with an emancipated, pretty, ambitious, but penniless young secretary called Vesna, whom he charmed in a local restaurant with some slick dancing. In the meanwhile, Bob is back in Belgrade, and rents an apartment to married men in search of sexual adventures. This is where Šurda brings Vesna on their first date, but since Bob has mixed up his schedule, two other men appear at the same time along with their dates. It seems that the love affair is destined to failure, but, pressured by her landlord, Vesna gives Šurda one last chance. The two of them eventually marry, and though both Firga and Soče hoped for such an ending, the result hardly makes them happy, since Soče ends up paying for the wedding while the couple move into Firga’s house together.
