Summary:Records of this digital collection were assembled to document the work of the UN Special Committee on the Problem of Hungary established on January 10, 1957 by the United Nations General Assembly for the purpose of investigating the 1956 Hungarian revolution. Principal contributor(s): United Nations Special Committee on the Problem of Hungary Iván Jaszlics, a student at the Technical University in Miskolc, made a statement about the fighting he witnessed. The committee asked him about aerodromes and the Hungarian Air Command. Witness G, a surgeon, testified about the deportations of Hungarian citizens to the Soviet Union. Witness H, a medical doctor, testified about Soviet soldiers he treated in Budapest.
