Summary:Raw footage of a speech by Aung San Suu Kyi where she addressed Ambassador Madeleine Albright and thanked for the W. Averell Harriman Democracy Award that she received in 1996. The prize which recognized Aung San Suu Kyi’s commitment to democracy and human rights in Burma was shared with U.S. Ambassador to Japan, Walter Mondale. The speech continued with an interview with Aung San Suu Kyi about the Saturday and Sunday speeches at her front gate of her home in Burma, the National League for Democracy (NLD), and the human rights movement in Burma.
