Complesso Serenissima is a residential neighborhood in Via Anelli, Padua, composed of six buildings: 287 mini-apartments, 28 square meters each. The local population is composed mostly of immigrants. Complesso Serenissima has become for everyone “Via Anelli’s ghetto”. In 2005 the municipal administration of Padua decides to close the buildings despite the opposition of the proprietors, who are all Italians. This action raises numerous conflicts and creates significant problems for the inhabitants. “Via Anelli” is a choral narration interlacing the lives of the residents and of the officials of the municipal administration. |
