Description
Summary:Verzio FF Submission “Mahua Memoirs” is a scathing take on the flip side of globalization and its effects on the Adivasi communities of the Eastern Ghats, a discontinuous range of mountains along India's eastern coast. The documentary primarily deals with the mining industry flourishing in the region at the cost of tribal communities who are inadequately compensated for the land that is forcibly taken from them. Saloo, the bard and Thirku, the Baiga take the viewers on a journey through the lives of the many Adivasis communities and explain how the natural resources have become the source of their greatest insecurity.
