Summary:Forensic report on individual and mass grave exhumations in Bosnia and Hercegovina created during the Forensic Assistance Project (FAP). The report was authored by: Harrington, Richard From 3 through 6 November and on 12 November 1998 the State Commission on Missing Persons (Bosniak) conducted a series of exhumations in and near the Doboj suburb of Makljenovac. The purpose of the exhumations was to recover Bosniak soldiers and civilians allegedly killed by ethnic Serbs the area in July 1992. 26 sets of remains were recovered from eight sites while three sites yielded no remains. 13 of these recovered male bodies were reportedly detainees used by Serb soldiers as human shields during fighting against Bosniak forces and were killed on 12 July 1992. Another 13 individuals were men killed by Serb forces, many reportedly in combat.
