Urban comedy, happening during one night in Belgrade in late 1990s. Mare and Pop are childhood friends and aspiring musicians wishing to record and release the first Serbian drum & bass album. A guy who can help them is their school friend “Sissy”Gojko, the owner of a club and recording studio, whom they used to bully in school. Unfortunately, Gojko - now a successful boss surrounded by bodyguards - has not forgotten the mistreatment from his school days and decides to trick them. The night is full of trouble for Mare and Pop as they head for Gojko’s night club where they want to pick up the promised recorded tracks. They manage to get thrown out of the parties, end up in fights, meet two girls, one of whom is Gojko’s girlfriend and in an attempt to get their money back they meet a strange series of characters including a false Santa Claus who steals medicine from drugstores, a cool cop who smokes cannabis and an ex-football star who solves problems. In a hilarious finale, where Mare, backed up by the authority of the policeman’s gun, decides to take things into his own hands, everything turns out nicely. Mare and Pop finally end up on the winning streak, getting it all - money, recordings and the beautiful girls. |
