In a 70-month period from 1986 to 1987 around 40% of independent publications in the provinces closed down. Opposition in the Polish Armed Forces / by Witold PronobisThe Polish Armed Forces continue to be effectively politically indoctrinated. Any opposition within its ranks rarely comes to light. Recently, however, a new independent publication for the army, entitled "Honor i Ojczyzna," has appeared. Satire and Poetry on the Round-Table Discussions / by Anna PomianNot all the articles written on the subject of the proposed round-table discussions have been serious: recent independent publications have carried poetry and a satirical sketch on the subject.
