Each stamp, arranged clockwise, corresponds to one of the stages of the process: from the beginnings 150 back, through the underground publishing during World War II (1939-1945), through the founding of Independent Publishing House, the first postwar samizdat publisher (1977), to the establishment of the Consortium for Independent Publishing (1986).
