Summary:Records of this digital collection were assembled to document the work of the UN Special Committee on the Problem of Hungary established on January 10, 1957 by the United Nations General Assembly for the purpose of investigating the 1956 Hungarian revolution. Principal contributor(s): United Nations. General Assembly Vote on Draft Resolution A/L 255 submitted by Argentina and thirty-six Other States. The vote on the draft resolution based on the Supplementary report dated July 14, 1958 of the Special Committee and the report of H.R.H. Prince Waithayokon, a special UN representative who visited Hungary, produced 54 votes in favor, 10 against and 15 abstentions.
