Summary:Records of this digital collection were assembled to document the work of the UN Special Committee on the Problem of Hungary established on January 10, 1957 by the United Nations General Assembly for the purpose of investigating the 1956 Hungarian revolution. Principal contributor(s): United Nations Special Committee on the Problem of Hungary Members of the committee asked Tibor Pásztory in connection with the statement he made the previous day. Moreover, he was asked questions about the status of the Hungarian economy and living standards before the revolution. Witness PPP, an engineer and university professor who participated in drafting the sixteen points presented by the students of the Technical University, made a statement. Witness QQQ gave an account of the events in Miskolc.
