| Summary: | The audio recording of the international conference "Between Past and Future: The Revolutions of 1989 and the Struggle for Democracy in Central and Eastern Europe." Numerous leading scholars, journalists and public figures came to CEU on March 26–28, 1999. Conference participants examined the legacy of the revolutions of 1989 and the prospects for continued democratic consolidation in the coming decade. Tamás (Georgetown University), Ambassador Peter Tufo (Ambassador to Hungary). The conference was chaired by Kati Marton.
