Description
Summary:Duration: 01:27:00 This is a drama about human trafficking and takes p[lace in a small town near southern Slovenian border with Croatia, where also the only Slovene nuclear power plant is located. Ludvik is a small-time car-racing champion who smuggles refugees into the country with his friends as long as the people being smuggled can pay his asking price. His partners, Rajc and Drago, are breaking in a newcomer, Rudi. Rudi and Ludvik's relationship deepens while Rudi initiates a passionate affair with the girlfriend of one of Ludvik's fellow racers. The relationships between the characters are interspersed with the tales of the people the men are bringing into the country. "Spare Parts" is an uncompromisingly harsh and downbeat social drama. It takes a cold, realistic look at many facets of modern life, such as illegal immigration, industrial pollution, what people are willing to do to get money, and our constant search for love and friendship in the most adverse circumstances.
