| Summary: | The twelfth episode starts with a new partisan attack on a German transport train, after which they retreat towards the river with three wounded men. Prle and Tihi are at the boathouse belonging to Tihi’s uncle Mile who needs to transfer the wounded partisans the next day and asks them for a doctor. Tihi assigns the task to his doctor friend Milić and Prle arranges for the wounded partisans to be transported by auto mechanic Žile. On the other side, following the report by Miro and Joker, the Gestapo organizes a hunt for Tihi. In the evening, Tihi and Mile sail off while Prle and doctor wait in Mile’s shed on the other side of the river. Čibi barges in and Prle reluctantly agrees to admit him to their group and all of them prepare to take over the wounded. When Miro and Joker leave Klara’s party to join the Gestapo mission, she alerts Tihi to the danger. Just after she warns them and they all try to board the truck, the Gestapo arrives. The truck stalls and a big shootout ensues in which both Mile and Klara are shot, but Žile finally starts the engine and the rest escape. |
