Summary:Records of this digital collection were assembled to document the work of the UN Special Committee on the Problem of Hungary established on January 10, 1957 by the United Nations General Assembly for the purpose of investigating the 1956 Hungarian revolution. Principal contributor(s): United Nations Special Committee on the Problem of Hungary István Forgács was asked questions in relation to his statement the day before, then about another witness, György Heltai, and the situation in the refugee camp in Italy. Ferenc Gyimesi, commander at the Dunapentele Barracks during the revolution, made a statement. He was asked questions about the deportations he witnessed.
