Summary:Records of this digital collection were assembled to document the work of the UN Special Committee on the Problem of Hungary established on January 10, 1957 by the United Nations General Assembly for the purpose of investigating the 1956 Hungarian revolution. Principal contributor(s): United Nations Special Committee on the Problem of Hungary Witness F, sixteen years old, testified about the Soviet attack against the city he lived in and his deportation to the Soviet Union. Gyula Szentadorjány, member of the Independent Smallholders’ Party, made a statement about events at the Hungarian Foreign Ministry during the Imre Nagy government.
