Description
Summary:Serbian intellectual circles respond to the desire for more independence voiced by republican leaderships of the former Yugoslavia by calling for the integration of all Serbs, primarily in the cultural domain. At the same time an alternative group – known as the Liberals - emerges within the communist party. As a solution to interethnic relations, the Liberals advocate more independence for a decentralized Serbia, and consistent federalization for Yugoslavia.
