Summary:Audio recording of a mini-symposium presented by Central European University, entitled "On Multi-stories History" held in István Rév's honor on March 12, 2001. The moderator is the President and Rector of the CEU, Yehuda Elkana. After the lectures delivered by Prof. Natalie Zemon Davis and Prof. Carlo Ginzburg, Prof. István Rév (Director of OSA Archivum and member of the CEU Board of Trustees) gives a presentation about multiple stories and their social consequences of which the second part is recorded here. Following this presentation, Prof. Gábor Klaniczay and Prof. János Kis offer their remarks on the matter of “Multi-stories History” which are then followed by a discussion between all the participants. Among the participants there is also George Soros (CEU Founder and Chairman of the board of Trustees) who contributes to the symposium with a short speech and then presents the university’s first ‘Medal of Appreciation’ to Prof. István Rév.
