Referred to Provident Dispensaries 82 Referred to Friendly Societies 104 Referred to Poor Law 18 Sent away as able to pay 49 Of forty-four patients referred to District Committees of the C.O.S., sixteen were materially assisted, while eleven were sent for enquiry only; four were refused assistance while nine did not apply and four withdrew their applications. These last two classes proved for the most part able to arrange for themselves.
