Summary:1945 1945 1940s 15 pages : illustrations General Conditions 1. Applicants will be notified of acceptance, and become eligible for benefit six months after the date of enrolment. 2. Eligibility for benefit ceases when subscriptions are more than three months (13 weeks) in arrear from the date covered by the last subscription. Persons rejoining are required to await the qualifying period of six months (26 weeks) before eligibility recommences. 3. Benefit is not given towards the cost of a period of In-Patient treatment commencing before the qualifying date of eligibility. 4. Benefit generally is given in respect of treatment or services undertaken on the recommendation of a registered medical practitioner. 5. Benefit is given only in respect of In-Patient treatment or service in hospitals or recognised nursing homes. 6. Subscribers make their own arrangements through their doctors or surgeons for treatment in any hospital or registered nursing home wherever situated. The Association does not require, nor can it arrange, that treatment shall be sought or provided at any particular hospital or nursing home. 7. The right is reserved to decline to accept any application for membership or renewal of membership or to stipulate special conditions in some cases. 8. Persons over 60 years of age cannot be enrolled as beneficiaries, but subscribers and their registered dependants may continue after attaining that age subject always to condition No. 7. 9. The right is reserved to revise the regulations from time to time, and any such revision would apply to all existing subscribers from the end of their current year of enrolment. Many employers to-day are co-operating with their employees in evolving plans for staff benefits. Is there any such scheme in operation in your firm? If not, why not draw attention to the advantages offered by the Hospital Service Plan which can be adapted to meet any requirements and joint contributions. Printed by W.H.
