In some schools it is possible that they could not be adopted without considerable modification, if at all; whilst in others, in all probability, other methods are employed with equal or greater success. But, since some teachers may like to know of them, they are given here. Teachers of children old enough to work on the Dalton Plan are familiar with the wall sheet on which the child [Image] Reproduction of Health and Cleanliness Council's Poster (P. 84), 30" x 20", in red, green, blue, yellow, and black. A Poster which may be linked up with country dancing, games and physical exercise. signs his name as a guarantee that he has completed his assignment. A similar plan has been used with excellent effect in a class of young children who showed the usual indifference to washing that normally goes with the age of seven or thereabouts. Children who washed their hands before coming into class were allowed to write 177/5/8/3
