Description
Summary:1942-10 1942 1940s 40 pages This Memorandum includes proposals which, if adopted, would secure almost immediately a reduction in the alarming amount of time which is lost each year on account of ill-health and accident. There is a section devoted to suggestions for increasing efficiency in our Health Services ; and of particular interest to health workers themselves will be those pages containing recommendations for the improvement of their working and living conditions. The Memorandum is directed not only to those engaged in the health services, but to all who are genuinely interested in maintaining health both as an end in itself and as a means of ensuring the maximum national war effort. Factory workers, trades unionists, shop stewards, works managers, Borough Councillors, Members of Parliament, as well as doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, almoners, hospital administrators and other health workers, will find in the following pages much useful information and many proposals which are capable of immediate implementation. 4 15X/2/103/252
