Description
Summary:042-0103-001 WMC/WJB/AC/44 International 5th October, 1937. Mr. L. Witt, The Joint Council of the Southampton Trades Council, Labour Party and Co-operative Party, Prospect House, 160, Above Bar, SOUTHAMPTON. Dear Mr. Witt, RAY COX MEMORIAL. We have not been able to reply definitely to your enquiry about the Ray Cox Memorial, as Mr. Schevenels, the Secretary of the I.F.T.U., who had this matter in hand, has been away in Spain and in other countries. We are not sure whether he is not now in Prague, because the I.L.O. Governing Body is meeting there, and he is Secretary of the Workers' Group. Anyhow, we have written to the I.F.T.U. again, and expect to get some information within the next day or two, when we will again communicate with you. Yours faithfully. General Secretary. 292/946/42/103
