Description
Summary:042-0127-001 WMC/WJB/AC/933 International 3rd August, 1937. Mr. W. Schevenels, International Federation of Trade Unions, 9, avenue d'Orsay, Paris VIIe Dear Comrade Schevenels, RAY COX MEMORIAL. On 14th April last we sent to you a cheque for £40, which had been collected by the Southampton Trades Council, who had expressed the desire that it should be used to purchase an anaesthetic apparatus, and that a plate should be affixed to this, indicating that it was a memorial to the late Ray Cox. You were good enough to state in your reply that you would arrange for this to be done. We are now being asked by the Southampton Trades Council if the photograph is obtainable, and if a copy can be sent to them. We shall be glad to hear from you whether you have been able to manage this. Yours faithfully, General Secretary. 292/946/42/127
