I took the liberty of writing to you, as soon as I returned to Great Britain, asking you, as we missed seeing you at Perpignan on our return journey, to let me have the estimate for the repair of the chassis of the damaged ambulance and your opinion as to whether anything can be done with it. I have not yet heard from you, and I will be much obliged if you will be so kind as to let me know at the earliest possible moment exactly your opinion. I hope something can be done with the chassis, but I feel sure that if its repair is going to run to a considerable amount that the Spanish Medical Aid Committee in London would rather cut their losses by selling the chassis for what it is worth as it is, rather than run up another account or more expenditure. Please let me hear from you early as I feel sure that my Committee would like to have this matter settled. With many thanks for your consideration, Yours truly,
