Description
Summary:001-0071-001 International WMC/EAB/DT/985. 28th March, 1945, Mr F.C. Woods, Clerical and Administrative Workers' Union, 30, Clouston Street, Glasgow Dear Mr. Woods, HOGAR ESPANOL With further reference to your communications regarding Hogar Espanol, the matter was brought before the General Council at their meeting to-day when the view was expressed that the response by affiliated organisations to the appeal of Hogar Espanol is more likely to have been made by branches of trade unions rather than by the head offices themselves. I would like to point out that when the General Council receives enquiries as to the bona fides of an organisation, the reply which is given is for the guidance of the General Secretary and the Executive of the enquiring organisation. It is then a matter for the Executive concerned to determine its attitude in the light of the information conveyed to it. Yours sincerely General Secretary. 292/946/1/71
