Extract from Minutes of Meeting of G.C 28th June 1944. 236. NATIONAL COUNCIL OF LABOUR. Minutes of meeting of the National Council of Labour held on 27th June, 1944 (Ref. N.C.L.10 1943-44) were taken item by item, moved by Mr. Deakin and seconded by Mr. Dukes. The Appendix, being a statement which had been prepared relating to the Prime Minister's speech regarding the Spanish Government, and in which fraternal greetings of the British Labour Movement to their friends in Spain were expressed, was read. On the motion of Mr. Gibson, seconded by Mr. Holmes. IT WAS AGREED that the word "democratic" should be inserted before "self-liberation" in the twelfth line of the last paragraph and that a fresh paragraph should commence with the word "Mussolini" in the fourth line of the last paragraph. The Minutes and Appendix were then ADOPTED.
