Citrine, Secretary, T.U.C. General Council, Smith Square, London, S.W.1 Dear Mr.Citrine, SPANISH SEAMEN'S STRIKE. We have at present in four Spanish ships on which all members of the crews but the Captain are out on strike, the Trades Council recieved a deputation from the strikers, along with one of our comrades that can speak Spanish, and he assured us from what the Seamen said and the cablegram he read from the Spanish Seamen's Union, they are out on strike by the official orders of the Spanish Union. The strikers are afraid that the Ships will be taken back to Spain by British seamen. We would like to know what the position is regards to this strike, and if any steps are being taken to prevent British seamen from being used as strike breakers.
