TELEPHONE AMERSHAM 1355 GENERAL SECRETARY: CHAS. DUKES (TO WHOM ALL COMMUNICATIONS MUST BE ADDRESSED.) December 11th, 1940. Your Ref. Our Ref. WP/LN/41 Sir Walter Citrine, Trades Union Congress, Trasnport House, Smith Square, London, S.W.1. Dear Sir Walter, re Spanish Refugee Children. I wrote you on the 2nd instant regarding a communication received by our Mr. McKenzie from Miss Margaret Halliday, appealing for financial support in respect of refugee children from Spain still in this country. I have now received a further communication from Mr. McKenzie stating that he has received a number of enquiries from Trade Union District Secretaries asking what steps we are taking in this matter. I shall be glad, therefore, to have an early reply to my communication, Yours sincerely, Chas. Dukes General Secretary. 292/946/38/38(VI)
